Business Partner Code of Conduct

It’s time for a better way of working, and a better way of doing business.ROOM is steadfastly committed to maintaining an environment of integrity and compliance to ethical standards in the workplace. It is equally important that our business partners are aligned with our values and strict standards as outlined in the following Code of Conduct, both in their own management and workplace practices and in those of their extended business partners. ROOM expects that all suppliers, subcontractors, dealers, and other business partners share our beliefs and also comply with the specifics outlined in this Code of Conduct.
DIVERSITY
- ROOM strives to promote an environment where each employee and business partner is valued, respected, and treated with dignity. Diversity fosters a variety of perspectives that helps to promote innovation and creativity in the workplace.
BUSINESS ETHICS & COMPLIANCE
- ROOM focuses on maintaining high and uncompromising moral and ethical standards in how we work and how we interact in our business dealings. We will remain compliant to all applicable laws and regulations and expect the same of our partners.
- ROOM will conduct business in an ethical and lawful manner in all countries in which we operate or have supply partner relationships. We expect our suppliers to follow suit and conduct their business in accordance with the highest ethical standards.
- All ROOM suppliers shall abide by all applicable anti-corruption laws and regulations of the countries in which they operate, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and applicable international anti-corruption conventions.
- To the extent that ROOM suppliers and business partners transports goods for ROOM into the United States, suppliers shall comply with the C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) security procedures on the U.S. Customs website at www.cbp.gov.
HUMAN RIGHTS & LABOR RIGHTS
- ROOM complies with all applicable U.S. federal, state, local, and non-U.S. country-specific national and international laws regarding labor relations and expects the same of its suppliers.
- ROOM adheres to freedom of association and equality in employment. We do not support or permit forced labor, child labor or other illegal or inappropriate labor practices, including but not limited to discrimination in hiring practices, work conditions or compensation.

FORCED LABOR & HUMAN TRAFFICKING
- ROOM is committed to a work environment that is free from human trafficking. ROOM, its employees, and its business partners must not engage in any practice that constitutes trafficking in persons or forced labor, including, but not limited to, the following activities:
- Engaging in any form of trafficking in persons;
- Procuring commercial sex acts;
- Using forced labor in the performance of any work;
- Destroying, concealing, confiscating, or otherwise denying access by an individual to the individual’s identity or immigration documents, such as passports or drivers’ licenses, regardless of issuing authority.

FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION & COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
- ROOM recognizes and respects the right of employees to freedom of association and collective bargaining and expects the same of our business partners. Refer to ROOM ILO Policy for detailed information.
BRIBERY & CORRUPTION
- ROOM expects that its employees and business partners will maintain standards of moral and ethical conduct where bribery, kickbacks, or other corrupt practices are forbidden. ROOM complies with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and applicable similar laws and regulations.
NON DISCRIMINATION
- ROOM shall not tolerate any form of discrimination of any form. Discrimination based on a person’s race, color, age, gender, place of origin, relation, citizenship, political opinion, sexual orientation, marital status, gender identity, disability, or any other category shall not be tolerated. MONITORING
- ROOM may periodically request completion of surveys or seek to gather general information from its partners in order to ensure compliance to standards and expectations. Furthermore, ROOM maintains the right to monitor business partner facilities via on site visits and audits as needed.
